Megavilla Homestay Melaka Review 2024 - Homestay Review #1

Assalamualaikum and hello everyone.

Salah satu azam aku nak menulis semula. Say whaaaaat? Tiap tahun begini azam nya tapi tak pernah jadi pun kan. Tapi aku rasa this time I have more motivation sebab aku tak pressure diri sendiri.

Okay so last December my friends and I (with our families) went to stay for 3 days at MegaVilla Homestay in Melaka. Kami plan this trip dari awal tahun, sebab plan nak buat 2 tahun sekali.

Aku rasa penulisan aku semakin rusty. Tapi, apapun, here goes, 

Mega Villa Homestay Melaka

Parking: Available and ample.

Pool: Complete with filter, alhamdulillah anak anak mandi mata tak merah and balik pun tak demam. Syukur sangat. 

Betul-betul kat tengah tengah homestay. Ada bahagian dewasa and ada untuk kanak-kanak. Paras lutut aku ja.

Bilik : Overall sederhana for family. Tapi tu sebab aku ada anak dua orang. So kita rasa sederhana. Tapi kalau berdua ja, sangat okay dah bilik dan toilet. Kemas, aircond semua sejuk elok. No problem.

Other facilities: Dewan for activities and indoor games - ada pingpong table, BBQ Pit, and also open dining area. Meja panjang. Seronok makan ramai-ramai boleh throwback zaman dok hostel dulu haha.

BBQ pit. Tugas tetap para suami. Terima kasihhhhhh.

Overall review, the homestay ni sesuai sangat dengan kawan-kawan atau keluarga besar. Sebab bilik dia ada banyak. Boleh la satu family stay dalam satu bilik.

Kami tak berjalan Melaka pun kalini. Mostly memang stay dalam homestay. Jadi maybe kena ke Melaka lagi? Hehe.

I know this is not much. I don't write much. But this is for myself. So, I'm glad that I try my best to write. Even if it's just one post per year. Or, maybe more hopefully this year. I just need to start again. Something for myself.

#fariskandarvoyage Lone Pine Hotel 2019 - Hotel Review #2

Hallu assalamualaikum all! 

Time flies so fast. Macam tak percaya ja. 

So last week (as Im drafting this), my husband and I went for a short break for our anniversary + babymoon in Penang! Hahah tak jauh pun. Right after Iskandar balik sekolah, he went to USM as I was hanging out with my gals, PartyPeople to pick me.

We checked in quite late, around 4pm I guess. Masa check in pun yemboiii ada complementary drinks, so nice. Berpatutan la harga tu kan hahah.

Hello pooool. 

Dah penat jalan jalan, kami lepak sat kat kerusi malas sebelah pool. Nak mandi pun macam susah sebab sekarang aku tengah muatan berat, kalau aku masuk, nak keluaq pulak takut macam dugong struggling. So terpaksa lah aku tengok ja pool tu. Huks. Nanti bawak baby mandi lah ☺️

For dinner, we bought food from outside. Ada McD and a few other kedai makan kat luaq. Kedai makanan Arab banyak (i wonder why 🤔 maybe sebab banyak tourist from Arab kot)

The next day, we just enjoyed our breakfast, lazed around in our room, having our own sweet time. Katil tu, sangat nak tau katil apa... Sebab lembut sangat hahahaha.

Overall, such a great hotel, definitely. The room, view, facilities and etc semua memuaskan hati. (kahkah maaf tak pandai la buat review negatif, pandai puji jewww).

Conclusion:
✔️ Price: sila survey Trivago ya. Kami dapat RM 500+ for one night stay including breakfast.
✔️ Pool: pretty, ada hang out spots around it. But we didn't spend much time there.
✔️ Room: very spacey! Love it ❤️ love the bed (susah gila nak bangun dari tidoq), tv, love everything in the room.
✔️Toilet/Shower room: I love the vanity mirror the most! Feeling sangat nak buat make up tutorial segala padahal make up pun level beginner ja hahah.
✔️ Breakfast: YUMZZZZ. Tak menyesal ambik pakej. Berbaloi baloi. Variety of food yang sumptuous, scrumptious dan segalanya lagilah. Malay, western, semua ada. Can order a few meals jugak they will cook for us.
✔️ Favourite part: Balcony with a huge bath tub.

Okay I guess that's all from me. Great experience, Happy Belated Anniversary to my dearest husband. 1 year dah together, alhamdulillah. To many more years together inshaAllah

Tips Bercuti di Taiping - Novotel. Hotel Review #1

Assalamualaikum and hello everyone!

As I promised to whomever yang ada membaca my previous post, (kalau ada lah 😂) it's gonna be about this awesome hotel that we stayed in Taiping!

Disclaimer : Hotel tersebut takdak sponsor or pay me to puji them okay hahaha.

They sponsored our honeymoon hotel goiseeee. Terharu noks. These are my girls yang went through the ups and downs during my degree life. You girls rock 😘

Okay, appreciation post aside, here's the interior of the room. I guess the best way to explain is through photos I guess 🤔

Bilik air shower dia transparent okay. Jangan ingat tak boleh bawak family pulak. Boleh ja. Ada macam tirai boleh tarik tutup. Tirai keras so dijamin selamat dari sebarang pemandangan yang tak diingini 😅

Gambaq ni ihsan trivago hahah. Sebab terlupa nk amek gambaq bagi nampak meja tu sekali. No kidding, exactly like the room we stayed. 

Ihsan jua. Sebabnya tengok dari tingkap near the lift ja. Tak terpikiaq nk bawak baju mandi ka apa sobsob so tak termandi pool dia. Huhu. 

Pros of this hotel's location
- It is literally right next to a mall (attached to it actually). The hotel shares their parking with the mall, so for us who stayed in the mall kita kena turun mintak cop dekat kaunter depan sebelum keluaq. No worries, ada lift nak turun naik k 😋

- In the heart of the town (near to many places)

- Near convenient store (7-eleven) and also food stalls
--> berhadapan Yong Tau Foo Bomba
--> near to Doli Kuetiau Goreng (boleh ja nak jalan prolly 10 - 15 mins walk tapi INI MALAYSIA YEEEE. Paneh noks)

Banyak ja lagi pros dia for me tapi hampa boleh la survey dekat Trivago. Aku tak kata mai Taiping wajib stay sini. Cumanya kalau nak stay sini, aku rasa okay. Nice. Okay la from my experience 😁

Cons dia, hmmm tah tak sure. Hahaha. Mungkin sebab dia jauh sikit dari tempat tenpat yg menarik utk dilawati. Bukan jauh sangat, tapi you have to go by car. No other choice. Mungkin boleh call grab.

Tips Bercuti di Taiping

Assalamualaikum and hello everyone.

So today memandangkan azam dah ada (cough cough), kena la cuba menulis semula hiks.

Alright untuk first post ni inshaAllah nak list down the places you can visit in Taiping 😁 kiranya tempat menarik di Taiping lah kan. Kenapa nak tulis pasal Taiping? Sebab sini la first trip dengan husband 🙈  (many more to come inshaAllah). Alright, without further ado, here goes.

Places

1. Zoo Taiping
- Memang kena pi tanpa was was. Ada jugak Night Safari, so boleh pilih nak masuk time bila. Siang atau malam. Jangan ingat masuk malam rugi tau. Most animals here are nocturnal so mungkin lebih banyak akan munculkan diri. Kami pi waktu siang so ada jugak la haiwan2 yang main aucak aucak sorok lena.
- Entrance: RM 16/person
(dalam tu boleh naik train/macam kereta panjang (?) untuk pusing zoo, tapi kami jalan ja so tak sure pulak if naik benda tu kena bayar ka dak)
- Parking: RM 3

Kenapa depa suka cari kutu? Rupanya sebab depa makan kutu tu 😅 baru tau. 

2. Taman Tasik Taiping (Taiping Lake Garden)
- Kat Taiping ni dok nampak tasik ni la port newlyweds mai untuk photoshoot. Haha serious cantik and tenang ja tengok. Kami pi tengah hari (wrong timing) panaih la jugak 🤦‍♀️ best time to go is in the morning or evening. Redup redup romantik gituh.
- Entrance : Free.

3. Muzium Perak
- Muzium ni antara yang tertua di Malaysia. Macam macam ada. From animal bones to orang asli infos, boleh tengok sini. Ada jugak kereta mahal kerabat diraja dolu dolu dipamerkan kat sini.
- Entrance : RM 2/person

Next, let's get to the more interesting part. Hehe. Food places in Taiping. The food here sedap sedap jugak so if you're here for foodhunt, you won't regret it 😉

4. Yong Tau Foo Bomba
- awat nama dia Bomba? Bukan bomba yang buat naaa. Nope. It is located right next to a bomba station. That's why. Kat sini ada medan selera. Best to go at night rasanya. You can eat various food. Ada nasi ayam, siamese cuisine and etc. And of course, beli la yong tau foo makan kongsi kongsi. Sedap hehe.

5. Doli Kuetiau
- kedai ni katanya very famous sejak dahulu kala. Lol. Memang antara yang paling famous. Mai Taiping tak singgah makan kedai ni macam rugi kot? Sebab although nama kedai kuetiau tapi macam macam meal ada jugak. Mostly noodles la. Huhu. Tak ingat nasik ada ke dak. And TIPS! masa makan kuetiau tu, kena letak kicap cabai dia tu. If not rasa dia kureng sikit. Tapi bila letak kicap rasa dia umph! Kalau takut cabai tu pedas macam aku, asingkan lah cabai tersebut.
Price range: RM 7 - RM 10/person (termasuk ayaq ya. Tapi tengok jugak la hampa order apa 😅)

Sedapnyaaaaaa.

6. Ansari Famous Cendol
- dah nama pun famous. Hahah. Memang famous. One thing about places in Taiping ni they're near to one another. So macam rugi kalau tak pi. And kisahnya cendol dia memang sedap. Passembur pun ada. Bukak pagi taktau sampai pukul berapa. We went there in the morning so had cendol and passemboq as our breakfast. 😋

Sedapnyaaaa. Adoi macam nak pi Taiping lagi hahah.

7. Pesto Pizza + LA Burger
- kenapa ada tambah punya simbol kat situ? Sebab nya kedai ni mcm sekali tapi bayaq asing. Tah la nak cerita macam mana. Lel maaf tak membantu. Okay kedai ni located just right next to KTM Taiping. Memang literally makan sebelah railway. Not a problem. Sebab kedai kedai kat sini semua bersih and well taken care of. Selain dari dua kedai ni ada sederet kedai yang hampa boleh pilih. Cuma jangan pi lewat. Around 10 ke atas memang mostly nak tutup dah. Kami pun pi lewat sebab taktau nak makan mana. Jenuh google jugak masatu.

In conclusion, (eh dah conclude? Haha) Taiping is a family place. Kalau macam ada anak kecik kecik, rasa macam tenang ja pi Taiping. Tak hectic. Chey cakap macam aku dah ada anak. Tak lah. Kalau muda mudi nak pi dengan kengkawan pun memang okay. Sebab tak mahai. Masa pi kami baru ja menikah so sangat okay untuk bajet kami. Tapi to commute from one place to the other memang paling senang pakai kereta la. Kena drive.

Certain places are walking distance ja. Banyak tempat tu tanpa kami sedar just depan hotel ja. Gigih la kami naik kereta turun parking tengok2 bawah tu ja. Naik balik parking hotel hahaha. Lepastu turun jalan kaki ja. The hotel that we stayed was Novotel 😍 it deserves a post on its own. Haha.
